The best thing I ever did was marry my high school sweetheart, Paul. I'm full of gratitude for our three adult children, their spouses and six engaging grandchildren. Here we are in Turks & Caicos on a family vacation - so glad everyone could be together at the same time.
HOLLY & IVY
One summer my granddaughter suggested we write a book together - so I dived into the opportunity and we created an outline. I wrote for 18 months and now I'd like to introduce you to... HOLLY & IVY. A 35,000-word contemporary middle grade novel (with a dash of fantasy & mystery) geared to kids 8 – 12 years old. Memorable characters reflect diversity, inclusivity and equity. Also includes a soft introduction to junior golf.

MUSKOKA AUTHORS' ASSOCIATION
The Muskoka Authors' Association has been instrumental in helping me to flourish as a writer.
In 2022 I initiated a new opportunity for our authors to sell their books locally at the SHIPYARDS and in 2023 CBC Radio interviewed me about its success.
FOUNDER - WOMEN'S WELLNESS CONFERENCES
After I retired from my nursing career I still had lots of energy and ideas and so I funnelled my passions into a conference about healthy aging and the Still Sexy After Sixty - Women's Wellness Conferences were born.
Key Note speakers were Jeanne Beker - Fashion Icon and TV Personality, Elizabeth Manley - Olympic Figure Skater and Lynn Posluns - Women's Brain Health

I love being a volunteer podcaster and radio host for Hunters Bay Radio where I have the opportunity to interview fascinating people who have made a difference in our world. My show is SWEET SPOTS and one show was about The Top Ten Things for Kids to do in Muskoka - I interviewed three of my grandchildren. What a fun show!

CHILDREN'S AUTHOR
After writing a story-photo book about each of my six grandchildren, I realized that I had a lot to learn!
For the past four years I've been part of an Intensive Writing Group with writing coach, Brian Henry. I've produced many short stories a middle-grade novel and now I'm writing my memoir.
